Nano Banana

I bought Pro annually, and after only ten-odd images over two days I hit the daily limit. The quota rules aren't spelled out either, so when you hit the cap is guesswork.

I used it for teaching illustrations most of a year. From March it clearly went wrong: more errors, and images look compressed. Worse, normal prompts get blocked by safety rules and take ages of tweaking to pass.

I asked it to put a person into a new background and it just pasted the original face on. Lighting and skin don't blend at all; obviously fake. That's not regenerating, that's copy and paste.

The new version varies more than the old, and poses, angles and backgrounds are easy to adjust. But zoom to one hundred percent and detail falls apart: textures look fake. I went back to generating with Pro.

I upload one reference photo and can put the same person in different places and poses, with face shape and clothes mostly matching. More complex scenes still drift, but it's already much easier than what I used before.
